Basic Artisan Skills and What They Counter

Crafting skills are used both as a counter to various events that occur during crafting, and also as a buff. To use any of these skills, the best bet is to hotkey them by skill. They will be found in your Knowledge book (K) under the tradeskills tab.
Note that the first batch of skills are received by all Artisans, but, when you progress to level 10, and again to level 20, you will get upgraded versions of only the ones specific to your crafting profession. They will use the same icons but the consequences might be different. Make sure to check your Knowledge book (K) for the new versions to hotkey as you might find you'll want to mix the old and the new responses together to get the best results.
Some of the events in the "Counters" column will do health and/or power damage to you if they are not properly countered. These events, when known, will be indicated in italics. (Not all event groups have been tested, and it is likely that at least the final item in each set of listed reactions will have something painful happen if you do not respond to it.)
The numbers in the Power column are from the descriptions found by examining the buffs.

Numbers have changed several times and this table is a nightmare. We may/may not give it up as a lost cause, but the below examples should at least give you a feel for what sort of normal tradeskill events you will see.
