Housing: Guide to Prestige Homes

Prestige homes are a special category of home. Unlike "normal" homes, where you walk up to the front door, pay coin (and sometimes status) to purchase, and then pay a weekly rent, prestige homes are rent-free. There are no residency requirements to own a prestige home.

Of course there's a catch!

Prestige homes are all obtained in special ways, and there's no guarantee that any given player will be able to gain access to all of them. While anyone can own a simple inn room in-game, you may have to spend real-world cash, or earn one of these fancy homes as a veteran reward, etc.

Deeds to prestige homes (which must be examined from inventory before you walk up to the front door of the home and try to claim it for your own) are lore, and, while you can own several prestige homes, you can only own one of each type on any character.

As of October 18, 2011 the following prestige homes exist in Norrath. Unless otherwise noted, access to these homes are via portals in South Qeynos and South Freeport. (And you must visit the proper city to access a home - using the South Qeynos portal for the Tenebrous Island Refuge, for example, will only show you the homes of the good-aligned characters who purchased that home. You would need to visit Freeport to see the homes of the evil-aligned characters who own that island.)
