Axe and Ye Shall Receive

Information provided by Tinkerbear, with additional clarification from Mum

This quest for a recipe book is special, as it is only offered at random times by members of the Guide Program. When the guide offers the quest on your server, they will be present in Butcherblock Mountains, offering the quest for a short time (an hour seems to be the norm). When and exactly where to find the guide varies from server to server, but Najena, for example, the guide announced that he was there on the 1-9 channel. (Known locations for the Guides tend to be in East or West Fort Irontoe or at the Greater Faydark zone.)

The quest itself requires that you find specific dwarven axes and sketch them. These axes are clickable items in buildings in East and West Fort Irontoe, as well as 6 clickable axes on the wall just inside Kaladim. (There are aggro kobolds just outside the entrance to Kaladim - as long as you can survive a sprint through their territory, you should be all right to do this quest, as the in Kaladim part does not require traveling past the safe area of the entrance.)

When you are finished with the sketches, your quest journal will tell you to bring the sketches down to the Butcherblock docks, to a specific NPC waiting there. (Chances are, however, if the guide is still around, a wee bit of roleplay with them once you have finished your scribing might earn you a shiny new suffix title of "the Axe Master".)

Reward is a no-trade level 9 Artisan book, Decorating with Axes, that contains 9 recipes for decorative axes that you can place in your home.

Each of the axes requires that you use metalworking skills at the forge to combine the following ingredients: 1 bronze cluster, 1 tin cluster, 1 rawhide leather pelt, 1 rough malachite, 2 coal. Items are mastercrafted, with 60 rent status reduction.
