You should have the quest "Insider Trading" from Felice Adae (mentioned in the above quest guide) before starting in on this chunk of quests. While in beta, the quest updates were not always recognizing combines made in other zones. However, this is no longer an issue, so if you're finding the lag too rough to craft out in Sundered Frontier, porting home to craft is now an option.

Head to Paineel and the Mercantile Court area (up the ramp, to the right). Speak with Or'Iku, who will give you the quest and tell you to speak with Adeela, who should be pacing around in that same area. She asks you to first become familiar with the local harvestables. These harvestables can come from your packs, the broker, or from going out at this point and harvesting them. (Note that if you grab these items from the bank or from the harvest depot, the quest will not recognize them until you delete and re-obtain the quest.) You will need:
Hand those in for crafting xp, AAxp, 30-some gold, 1000 City of Paineel faction, and 2500 Craftkeepers faction. |
 | Speak with Adeela again to find out that they've received a request for aid from the Bastions of the Tranquil, and would like you to go over and help out. Run back over towards the Bastions of the Tranquil (Hall of Knowledge, facing the teleporter) and speak with Aaliya for 25-ish gold, crafting xp, AAxp, 2500 City of Paineel faction, and 2000 Craftkeepers faction. |
 | Aaliya wants you to run some tests on quicksilver to see if it shares any of the unusual properties of the kaborite ore. Scribe the recipe for Block of Refined Quicksilver and head over to the forge. Each block will require 3 quicksilver cluster, 2 sumac lumber, 1 ethereal coal. You will need to craft four of them. Return to Aaliya with the specified number of bars to receive 30-some gold, crafting xp, AAxp, 1000 City of Paineel faction, 1500 Bastions of the Tranquil faction, and 1000 Craftkeepers faction. |
 | Return to Adeela, and she sends you over to the Knights of the Fell Blade to lend a hand. Speak with Safa, who confirms that they have needed help with equipment for several weeks now. Get yourself 20-some gold, crafting xp, AAxp, 1000 City of Paineel faction, and 25000 Craftkeepers faction. |  |
 | Safa hands you a recipe scroll that contains recipes for four items. Head to the forges in Paineel and craft three taditional Paineel breastplate, each of which will need 3 titanium ore, 2 quicksilver cluster, 1 ethereal coal. Craft three traditional Paineel greatsword, each of which will need 3 titanium ore, 2 quicksilver cluster, 1 ethereal coal. Then three traditional Paineel greaves, each of which will need 3 titanium ore, 2 quicksilver cluster, 1 ethereal coal. Last but not least, on the loom, make three tabard of the Fell Blade, each of which needs 3 bamboo shoot, 2 quicksilver cluster, 1 ethereal filament. Then return to Safa for your rewards. |
 | Return to Adeela, and she sends you over to the Seekers of the Dark Truth to lend a hand. Speak with Sumit once again, and get yourself 20-some gold, crafting xp, AAxp, 1000 City of Paineel faction, and 25000 Craftkeepers faction. |

Sumit needs help creating a device and will give you "Preliminary Notes on an Experimental Device for the Study of Life Essences, Draft it". Scribe the scroll to learn the recipe for an Essence Entanglement Device. Head over to the work bench in Paineel and craft one, using 1 amber, 2 quicksilver cluster, 2 titanium ore, 1 ethereal coal. Return to Sumit for your reward, and an additional task. |
You didn't think you were done, did you? Ah, you get to see the stereotypical erudite attitude at work, first-hand - the device needs to be tested, and a scholar like Sumit not only can't get their hands dirty, but they can't risk their neck, either, especially when someone more expendable, like you, is around!
Take the eastern lift and head carefully around to the right to find the ruins of old Paineel. There, you will need to use the device on three a lingering Paineel spirit. Yes, the area has aggro mobs, and yes, the spirits are aggro, so step carefully. You will also find it best to wait until you've seen a spirit come to rest immediately after moving before you edge up, target and use the device from your inventory before quickly backing up once again. Otherwise, the durn thing is prone to moving in the middle of the device firing off, resulting in either the mob moving out of range, or, worse, moving close enough to aggro on you.
When you're done, head back to Sumit for 30-some gold, crafting xp, AAxp, 1000 City of Paineel faction, 1500 Seekers of the Dark Truth faction and 1000 Craftkeepers faction.
Return to Adeela for 20-some gold, crafting xp, AAxp, 1000 City of Paineel faction and 2500 Craftkeepers faction.
Adeela is happy to see the supplies, but there's just one problem. Yep, she received them just a little too late to include them in the normal supply run, so she needs you to run them out there for her.
Head over to the Paineel teleporter, right-click, and head up to the Launch Pad. From there, head over to the Eye of Dartain. The Observatory will be to your right as you land.
Inside the observatory, you will wish to speak with Aysha, will reward you with 30-some gold, crafting xp, AAxp, 1000 City of Paineel faction and 2500 Craftkeepers faction. She'll also ask you if you brought the blankets and additional food supplies.
Blankets and additional food supplies, eh? It seems Aysha's note requesting additional supplies due to the extra researchers that they've had lately has gone astray. You're definitely coming in handy, and really wearing out your shoe-leather! You'll be given an Observatory Supply List, and if you don't have portable stations and proper supplies on you, hit up the launch pad to head back into Paineel to craft.
Return to Aysha when you have completed all the items to receive 30-some gold, crafting xp, AAxp, 1000 City of Paineel faction, 1500 Bastions of the Tranquil faction and 1000 Craftkeepers faction.

 | Head back to Adeela, and she, also, has "one final" task for you - to deliver some research reports to Quel'ule, out in the Stonebrunt Mountains. Accept the quest, put it on mental "pause" for a bit, as it is finally time to return to the Far Seas rep, Felice, and tell her that you completed "Insider Trading" |
