Many changes have occurred in the game over the past couple of years, and with the release of the Rise of Kunark, much lovely new gear was added at both the very low-end and the very high-end of the game. This is wonderful, from a player perspective, as it allows folks a lot more gear options as they progress through content. However, this also left mastercrafted armor lagging behind and seeing a drop in desirability.

Changing and retuning the mastercrafted gear is a massive undertaking that can't be done in a single fell swoop. For GU41 the mastercrafted armor (tailored and smithed) will be addressed. While they're aware that mastercrafted weapons and jewelry, plus odds and ends such as hex dolls, also need a solid look, there is only so much that can be done at once.

If you've come hoping for a full gear analysis comparing it to everything under the sun that is made, dropped and quested, you're going to leave disappointed. I am not, and never have been, one of those folks who likes to pore over gear stats, much less discuss 'em at length. I leave that to those better suited for it.

On top of that, not only don't I have the time to spare to go over every set with a fine-toothed comb, but these are on Test. Folks should be testing them. They shouldn't be relying on Mum to hand them everything on a silver platter. (Sorry, all my lovely platters are being used to dish up the rest of the tradeskill GU41 stuff! :P)

That having been said, Ill give you a few side-by-side comparisons of mastercrafted pieces from a few tiers. If you want to see more, I recommend that you check things out for yourself while this is still on Test. :)
