Welcome to the quests section of EQ2TC! Questing in EQ2 is relatively straightforward, with you hailing an NPC, receiving a response, and being given one (or more) response options. Most items that need to be "collected" go directly into a virtual quest satchel to be stored until you complete the quest, saving you from trying to remember which piece of what you got where, and who it goes to! Your quest journal will also give you hints on what you need to do next for a specific quest and will keep track of a staggering number of quests at the same time. Often, your hardest task will be remembering exactly where to find your quest NPC when you're ready to complete the quest!

Still to be cleaned up and integrated:

• NEW! Level 125 Ballads of Zimara: Test Your Mettle tradeskill signature line and side-quests for the BoZ expansion. Still needs to be completed and integrated below.

• Level 60+ Delightful Doors - Level 60+ crafting quest series to unlock the ability to purchase your level 60-69 advanced books and gives you a recipe for several doors. A proper quest guide still needs to be written.

For the Beginner

• Tutorial: Learning to Harvest - This quest was changed a bit with GU56, and now rewards you with both a harvesting bag you can carry around, plus a 36-slot harvesting box for your bank
• If I Had a Hammer - lets you craft a travel speed charm then sends you on to the Crafting Tutorial NPCs in town (requires completion of Tutorial: Learning to Harvest)
• Crafting Tutorial - teaches you the basis of crafting, plus rewards you with several of your artisan recipe books

Pure Tradeskill Quests

• Any Adorner Adorning Daily Task - daily task that lets you skill up in adorning without using your own adorning materials
• Evil Artisan Chocolate Chip Cookies of Seething Malice - Evil-only Neriak quest for a level 10 cookie recipe
• A Gathering Obsession - An EQ2 first! A signature quest that can be completed by both adventurers and crafters. You can start this quest series at low levels, but you will not be able to finish the series until you are able to harvest tier 8.
• Level 5+ Shipwrecked! quest series starts with a level 5 quest and continues at 10, 20, 30, etc. up to level 100. Don't forget that you can hire Raffik as a fury mercenary 1 hour after you finish the level 100 quest!
• Level 10+ New Halas Level 10 Crafting Series - Level 10+ crafting series added with GU57
• Level 20+ Butcherblock Mountains Level 20 Crafting Series - Level 20+ crafting series (finally updated with quest info!)
• Level 20+ Tradeskill Writs - Work Orders and Rush Orders
• Level 20+ Journeyman Service - Level 20+ crafting quest for a free T3 advanced recipe book
• Level 30+ Steamfont Mountains Level 30 Crafting Series - Level 30+ crafting series added with GU57
• Level 30+ Crafter Leaper Mount Quest (added on June 24, 2011)
• Level 30+ Tradesman Service - Level 30+ crafting quest for a free T4 advanced recipe book and cloak (requires completion of Journeyman Service quest to obtain)
• Inheriting Family< quest series that unlocks the ability to purchase level 40-49 advanced tradeskill books
• Level 40+ Advanced ____ Service - Level 40+ crafting quest for a T5 advanced recipe book (requires completion of Tradesman Service quest to obtain)
• Level 40+ Crafty Sootfoots/Sootfoot Service - Quest series in Lavastorm for Sootfoot Magma armor recipes
• Level 50+ Water In the Desert quest series that unlocks the ability to purchase level 50-59 advanced tradeskill books
• Level 50+ Advanced Journeyman Tasks - Level 50+ crafting quest for a cloak and a house item. (requires completion of the Advanced ____ Service quest to obtain)
• Level 50+ Artisan Satchel and Tradeskill Charm - Fallen Dynasty tradeskill quests for level 50+ crafters
• Level 50+ The Shadow Odyssey expansion has many quests, some with pre-requisites.
  • Cannons Away! - a small access quest that can be completed by level 50+ crafters to gain access to the cannon travel in the Moors of Ykesha
  • Ship Out! - quest series to introduce level 50+ crafters to the Moors of Ykesha, this questline is required before you can perform missions for the Far Seas Supply Division.
  • Far Seas Supply Division faction quests - requires completion of Ship Out quest before you can obtain these level 50+ quests.
  • Survival Accord Daily Tradeskill Tasks - daily tasks for level 50+ crafters to earn Survival Accord faction
  • Tupta Daily Tradeskill Tasks - daily tasks for level 50+ crafters to earn Guktan Guard faction
  • Grobb Daily Tradeskill Tasks - daily tasks for level 50+ crafters to earn Clan Grobb faction
  • Additional quests for Liaison Mug - available after the completion of Ship Out
  • Additional quests for Liaison Varick - available after the completion of Ship Out
  • Additional quests for Liaison Zubzub - available after the completion of Ship Out
• Level 50+ (Sage) In a Bind - quest for sages to obtain the recipes for crafted notebooks
• Level 60+ Crafter Glider Mount Quest (added on June 24, 2011)

• Level 60+ (Carpenter) Nurwin family Secrets - page collection that rewards a level 60 recipe book to craft Wantia furniture.
• Level 65+ Crafter Sokokar Quest - for crafters 65+ who are under level 65 adventuring.
• Level 70 (Alchemist) A bit of Fire, a bit of Ice - Level 70 alchemist quest for recipes to convert byproduct dusts into higher tier versions
• Level 70+ New Lands, New Profits - a level 70 crafter quest that will get you faction with Rilis and Bathezid's Watch
• Level 70+ RoK Daily Quests (good for faction for the Proof in the Pudding)
• Level 75+ High Risks, Higher Profits - a level 75 crafter quest that will get you faction with the Shipyards of Danak
• Level 80 Crafter "Epic" Quests: the "Proof in the Pudding" - results in "Master" title & cloak, and the Earring of the Solstice
• Level 80+ Sentinel's Fate Crafting Quest Series - series of quests in the Sentinel's Fate expansion for all four SF crafting factions
• Level 80 (Alchemist) Distillation Inspiration - level 80+ alchemist quest for recipes to bulk convert byproduct dusts into dusts of the next higher tier (followup to A Bit of Fire ... listed above)
• Level 85 Shadows of the Betrayed is a crafting signature quest that results in a crafting-class-specific level 85 item with a non-combat evac effect, etc.
• Level 85+: Destiny of Velious Crafting quests, released on February 22, 2011.

  Level 93+ - ToV Crafting Series

  I will clean up the below a bit "eventually", but in the meantime, I want to be sure that they can be found, so here's the cut & paste list from the ToV crafting preview:

  You'll receive an in-game mail from Captain Ethan of the Far Seas Trading Company. The company has been hearing reports of travelers going to Ethernere and is interested, as always as learning more. You'll help him with that, and on the way help some other folks you meet and members of his crew, and perhaps some others who may be familiar to you too. We hope this questline will give crafters a little introduction to Ethernere, both the already existing zones and the new Vesspyr Isles, as well as some great rewards!

  Note that these quests will require that you be at least a level 93 crafter.

  Several of these quests also give you recipes or access to harvestable house items that you get to keep after the quest is completed.

  ToV Quest Pre-requisites/Progression

  1. Do the Captain's Lament first.
  2. Then pick up Fond Memories.
  3. Fond Memories unlocks A Harrowing Tale, The Essentials of Battle, and The Smell of Home. You do not have to complete those three unlocked quests right away, but you do have to talk to all three quest NPCs to finish Fond Memories.
  4. Once you have finished Fond Memories, you will find a new NPC has appeared beside the building that houses the stove and keg.
  5. This NPC, Steve Echgar, will then give you the Captain Overboard? quest in Vesspyr Isles.
  6. If you have also already completed the Return of the Gathering Obsession, he will also offer you the A Gathering Obsession Beyond the Grave at this time.
  7. Once you have also finished A Harrowing Tale, The Essentials of Battle, and The Smell of Home, the Cardin Ward crafting dailies should unlock
  8. Once you have finished Captain Overboard? and Construct Deconstruction, then Captain Ethan should appear in the Falinpol tower in Vesspyr for a weekly tradeskill quest. (He had to finish getting Judith untangled before he headed back, after all!)
• Level 95+ Altar of Malice (AoM) Crafting Series
• Level 95+ AoM Dailies and Weeklies - requires completion of the "Return to Refuge" quest from the AoM crafting series in order to obtain daily and weekly quests.
• Level 100 Terrors of Thalumbra Crafting series for level 100 crafters. Also the ToT Crafting Dailies & Weekly
• Level 100 Kunark Ascending Crafting Series. There are over 50* quests for you to complete in this questline. (*Provided you have completed your original epic quest for the Solstice Earring, otherwise you will have to stop partway through.)
• Level 100 Planes of Prophecy: A Stitch in Time Planes of Prophecy Tradeskill signature questline added to the game on Feb. 13, 2018. This line includes PoP Daily and Weekly Tradeskill Missions< that can be done once you have completed the TS line. Also check out the PoP Red Shinies (added to the game on May 24, 2018) For the adventurers, there is also the Planar Crafting Completionist achievement and mount. (I have more details to go on the page, I just need to remember to grab/collate it all when I have enough energy to make it coherent.)
• Level 110 Guk Tradeskill mission
• Level 110 Chaos Descending: The Scrivener's Tale. This article covers not only the 24 quests that are part of The Scrivener's Tale, but also the daily crafting missions.
• Level 110 GU109: Mischief Managed Level 110 tradeskill quest series to allow access to the serverwide public tradeskill apprentices in the Anchorage. Requires completion of the Scrivener's Tale.
• Level 110 Luclin Prelude Quest Piercing the Darkness: Carving a Legacy. This quest was added in September of 2019 and is needed in order to do the Luclin crafting line for the BoL expansion.
• Level 110 Piercing the Darkness The Blood of Luclin crafting signature line.
• Level 120 Reign of Shadows Tradeskill Signature Line went live on December 15, 2020
• Level 120 Visions of Vetrovia: Were is the Messenger tradeskill signature line went live in December 2021
• Level 125 Renewal of Ro: Researchers of Ro tradeskill signature line went live November 2022 (writeup in progress as time permits)

• Other Harvesting: The Hangry Halfling - a series of repeatable harvesting quests in Vetrovia with dishes as rewards
• Other Harvesting: Feeding Duggin - a series of repeatable harvesting quests in the Shattered Lands with dishes as rewards (Additional rewards added with GU45)
• RoK: RoK Faction from a Tradeskill Perspective not only gives an overview of some of the RoK factions, but explains about special RoK tradeskill writs to obtain vendor access to your Advanced recipe books and more. Also check out the GU54 addition of RoK Daily Crafting Faction Quests
• Special Red glowie collections released with GU46, additional collections added over time (updated with ToT)
• Fishing in two different zones will net you Fishy Shinies

• Supplies for Brianna Thundering Steppes sub-quest for level 20-something adventurers with a level 1 crafting combine required

Nothing to do With Crafting, but Wanted by Adventurers and Decorators:

• Days of Summer 2017 was a members-only event that can still be done. It includes both decorating and adventuring rewards. It was then followed by Days of Summer 2018, Days of Summer 2019 and then Days of Summer 2020.
• Familiars Wild - a level 5 mission that can be completed daily for a current-season familiar cage.

The quest Cellar Cleanup - An Introduction to Crafting on the Isle of Refuge, was made obsolete with the changes made to new character progression in LU19. We'll keep the link here for posterity's sake. Farewell, Dreak! You were good to us tradeskillers! It is now joined by the old "Seeking a Tradeskill Profession" quest, that has been replaced by the new crafter tutorial.
