Bristlebane Day 2024

Do you like a good joke, or a bit of harmless (or not-so-harmless) mischief? Then this annual celebration might be right up your alley! Bristlebane Day celebrations will begin on April 1, 2024 at 12:01 AM PAC time and end on April 14, 2024 at 11:59 PM PAC time on all servers*, with a few extra-special events available only on April 1.

*Special Rules Servers - Due to expansion availability:

In addition to all the returning content from past years, there will be one new dungeon/quest (plus a new achievement tied to it), one new recipe book, new buyables, and one new reward choice for one of the quests that occurs exclusively on April 1. Patchcraft thrashers have also been added to Splendor Sky Aerie.

New Crafted

"Perfectly Serious Items to Craft XV" joins us this year as our newest Bristlebane Day recipe book. As with the other recipe books for this event, it requires level 2 artisan to scribe, special Bristlebane event harvestables and tier 1 and tier 2 common harvestables. The special Bristlebane harvests come from Jester's gardens, which spawn in Commonlands, Antonica, Greater Faydark, Darklight Wood, Timorous Deep, and Frostfang Sea. The book is heirloom, costs 60s and 90c and contains recipes for the following items within it (pristine combines yield 2):

Fanciful Fabrics
Grand Prankster's Wall Sigil
Hanging Dry Aged Meat
Hanging Vale Briarwood Pots and Pans
Motley Mosaic (full tile set)
Spindly Violet Spadeleaf
Vale Briarwood Padded Stool

New Quest/Dungeon

"Mark of a Thief" can be accessed by any level 128+ adventurer via a giant tome in Antonica, Commonlands, Darklight Wood, Greater Faydark, Timorous Deep and Frostfang Sea. Upon completion of the dungeon, you will receive your choice of either a Jopal Darkbriar Plushie or ten Fool's Gold Coins. After completing the dungeon 3 times, you will complete the "Tall Tale Protagonist" achievement and receive a Merry Motley Fool Cap. The dungeon can be reset every hour and a half.

April 1 Hijinks

April 1 is considered the high feast day, or "Highest of Silly Days" during the Bristlebane celebrations. Because of this there are special quests that are available only on April 1, 2024. Jester's Superior Gardens will appear in Enchanted Lands on this day carrying all the harvestable items from holiday events (Frostfell, etc., etc.) Upgraded pack ponies will also explode with loot on this day, making it a good idea to be near your harvest depot when you "burp" your pony of holiday harvests on this day. You can also chase down rabbits in many zones for the Fur Finder achievement line only on this day each year. (Cloud Hare bunnies in Splendor Sky Aerie and Zimara Breadth are added to the rabbit list this year.)

New April 1 Quest Rewards

The "Riddled Throughout the Lands" April 1 quest series from Imenand in the Enchanted Lands has a new heirloom housepet reward choice added this year for "Riddle Mei-Theiz" this year: the new Twenty-Sided Stone of a Different Color. This 20-sided die changes color, not only when you pick it up and set it down, but also randomly changes color on its own. Pictures are not yet available for this item as it is not being released early on Test.

New Old Vendors Appear

Heartgar MacInnes, the Erollisi Day love loot trader reappears on April 1 in Qeynos Harbor and East Freeport so you can trade your miscellaneous love notes and hard candies into barbarian love notes. Grabby Gigglegibber, the Nights of the Dead Treat Trader, is available on this day in Qeynos and Freeport to help organize loot obtained from Jester's superior gardens.

Quest Tracker?

Casdoe of Maj'Dul has once again updated her quest tracker for this event and sent me one version in XLS format and one in PDF format. Thanks!
