The 2016 Heroes' Festival, celebrating 12 years of EverQuest 2, will run from November 3, 2016 through November 14, 2016. While the crafting portion of this annual event is minimal (crafting a Heroes' Festival Feast in either Qeynos or Freeport), there are also house items to purchase from the two festival currencies.
Since the new achievement (see the New Mount section at the bottom of the page) means that folks will be juggling alts to finish the required quests, Casdoe of Maj'Dul has once again put together a quest tracker spreadsheet for folks to download.
Covered below are the items that are new on the Heroes' Festival vendors for 2016. :)
You might have noticed mention of two currencies. The first, Token of Heroism, is granted for the various quests within Qeynos and Freeport, including the crafting one mentioned briefly above. The second, Mischeva's Tribute, is granted for helping kill the various "epic" clothwork creations in Antonica, the Commonlands, Sinking Sands, Kylong Plains, Eidolon Jungle, and Sundered Frontier. All of the items shown below other than the two replicas, are sold for Tokens of Heroism, and the two replicas are sold for Mischeva's Tribute. (Note: While some of the various items below are heirloom or no-trade, the currencies are tradeable.)
Explorer's Globe 5 Tokens of Heroism Heirloom
|
Festival Caravan Cart 15 Tokens of Heroism Heirloom
|
Festival Caravan Wagon 15 Tokens of Heroism Heirloom
|
Son of Grobb 5 Tokens of Heroism
|
Watcher's For the Alliance* 5 Tokens of Heroism
|
*Bug submitted on the odd punctuation on the "Watcher's" painting. Unsure if anything will change before this goes live or not due to short notice.
But wait ... I mentioned something about replicas, didn't I? Well, the following two may have been quest rewards from an old world event that are just now going buyable again. These no-trade lovelies will cost you 35 Mischeva's Tribute apiece.
Replica: Qeynos Claymore 35 Mischeva's Tribute No-Trade
|
Replica: Soulfire 35 Mischeva's Tribute No-Trade
|
Unlike other "Replica" house items, these, quite happily, do NOT come with that annoying "Replica" name floating above them when placed in a house. :D
New Mount
Also new this year will be a flying mount that will allow level 35+ adventurers to fly. This mount will be an achievement reward for completing 6 repeatable Heroes' Festival quests, and is autogranted to characters who completed the quests in the past. You can also pull the mount out of your mount tab and into normal inventory to examine him and turn him into a house item.
Other notes - 1) I've heard that the Stormhold server is getting a leaper version of the mount instead. 2) I have a query in to see if level 35+ tradeskillers will also be able to fly with this mount, and will update this article when/if I hear more.
