Frostfell crafting returned on the morning of December 10, 2009, and was available until January 7, 2009. These items can only be crafted on Frostfell crafting equipment, which means: 1) when the annual event is running each year,
2) on April 1 when Bristlebane has them appear on the Sinking Sands dock, or 3) on home-based Frostfell crafting equipment.
The three recipe books from last year are once again available, along with three new recipe books. (Returning books: Frostfell Feasts and Decorative Crafts, Frostfell Outfits You Can Make, Scholarlary Pursuits for a Festive Frostfell. New books: Frostfell Feasts and Decorative Crafts II, Frostfell Outfits You Can Make II, Scholarlary Pursuits for a Festive Frostfell II.) Books are sold on several vendors within the instance, and can be scribed by a level 2 artisan. (The recipes themselves are all level 20 and 30, which can be done by low-level artisans, but not without a struggle.) In addition, a few older craftables have been returned this year, by popular request.
Resources needed can be found on the harvestable present nodes in the instance, and require a 20 gathering skill. Frostfell fuel is sold on Gigglegibber merchants that are located at the two crafting areas in the instance.
Note that when performing Frostfell crafting, you have a chance for the rare Frostfell Innovation event to occur. Successfully countering this will gain you a random Frostfell item.
Size comparisons of many of the new Frostfell 2009 craftables can be found here.

Frostfell 2009 Nodes
These three present nodes, which can be found in the Frostfell Wonderland Village instance, require a 20+ gathering skill. Harvesting tools that speed up the gathering skill are a good idea if you are going to do much harvesting here! All items can be stored in the Frostfell Shopping Bags (available from the vendors in the instance, if you don't have any from last year), and 2 bags will be sufficient to hold everything. (Frostfell harvestables will stack to 200, instead of 20, for Frostfell 2009.) It should be noted that all but one of the resources are ones that were also available last year, which will make the packrats happy.
