Beast'r 2021: A Most Eggcentric Adventure(r)

Spring is just around the corner, and with it comes a small celebration of spring, the season of Growth. This celebration, called Beast'r, begins on all live servers (including TLE) on April 2, 2021 at 12:01 a.m. Pacific and ends at 11:59 p.m. on April 6, 2021.

This year's event includes five new collectible eggs that are heirloom fluff pet spells, and seven new buyables. There is also an achievement and a suffix title to go with the collection of the five new eggs.

A Bit of Background

Since this is an extremely short-duration annual event, you may want to become familiar with it before it begins.

The basic premise of this little event is that there are beast'r eggs hopping around the cities and starter areas in Norrath, and you get to try to hunt them down and grab them. If you manage to grab one, you get an heiroom fluff pet "gem" (scroll) of the egg. There are also "Beast'r Eggschanger" NPCs in Qeynos Province District (Elddar Grove area), Freeport, Darklight Wood, Greater Faydark, Timorous Deep, and Frostfang Sea. Eggs that were introduced in past years return this year, and can also be traded in for house pet versions of the eggs. (The five that are new this year will be only fluff pets this year, but it is expected that next year the house item versions will be added.)

In addition to the buyable housepets, the Beast'r Eggschangers sell a few other items for small amounts of coin. You will also find a dryad NPC near the Beast'r Eggschanger in Darklight Wood that will grant you the start of small overseer series of quests that will only be available during the event.

New Eggs

Qeynos, Freeport and the starter cities will have beast'r egg spawns wobbling about. There are eleven returning eggs and five new ones this year. The new heirloom fluff pet eggs for 2021 are:

Kooky Egg
Perky Egg
Rumbly Egg
Shiny Egg
Sprightly Egg

Managing to collect all five of these eggs will complete the "Master Beast'r Egg Hunter" achievement, and grant you the surname title of ", the Eggcentric Adventurer"

New Buyables

The Beast'r Eggschanger NPC's mentioned up in the background information section will sell the items from the past Beast'r events, plus the following new items:

Alabaster Pekin (fluff pet)*
(heirloom), 1g 20s
Sootfoot Rabbit (fluff pet)*
(heirloom), 1g 20s
Bixel Swallowtail Illusion
(heirloom), 60s
Zephyren Aviak Illusion
(heirloom), 60s
Beast'r Basket of Sweets
60s
Forest Lumpwocky Plushie
60s
Sifaye Robe Clothing Crate, 2g 40s
(shown with Hood below)
Heirloom crate, no-trade clothing
(shown with Collar below)

*Please note that the Alabaster Pekin fluff pet spell is sold only on the vendors in the good-aligned areas, while the Sootfoot Rabbit fluff pet spell is sold only on the vendors in the evil-aligned areas. Since they are both heirloom scrolls, and places like Gorowyn and New Halas are safe for visitors of the opposing alignment, there should be no issue with you getting the opposing faction's fluff pet if you wish.

Quest Tracker

Having a hard time keeping track of which alts still need eggs for the achievements, or who hasn't finished the collection? Casdoe from Maj'Dul updated her quest tracker for this event in both XLS format and in pdf format. Thanks!

Video

Ocarinah has put together a quick little Beast'r Item Preview. Thanks!
