Inheriting Family

This is a level 40-49 tradeskill series that was added in April 2022 with the release of Game Update 118. In addition to a tradeskill familiar reward, the quest-giver will sell level 40-49 advanced tradeskill books at the end of the series.

Meet Jadrek Woolfe. He's a barbarian with some family troubles. Specifically, after having been the sole relative and heir for his Aunt Magret, that redoubtable lady has suddenly sent him a missive stating that she is bringing new family for him to meet, and asked him to provide a meal for three very specific tastes. Is his inheritance at risk? Has his aunt remarried or adopted? We're really not sure at the start of this questline, but you're either curious enough (or bored enough) to help a fella out.

Note that this quest series is not available on TLE servers until those servers have unlocked the Echoes of Faydwer (EoF) expansion, due to the need for access to an EoF zone.

Shopping List

For this series, you will need to provide:

Head to the shore in Everfrost and find Jadrek Woolfe at /way 223, -19, 50

Inheriting Family

(All of this first quest occurs in Everfrost)

The first of the three tastes you have to please wants a fish dish.

Harvest 5 nerius trout. (There's likely to be several nodes near where Jadrek is located.

The dish still needs more zing, so you are sent out to gather icy fennel and pine-nuts. Both updates are located near mount stations.

Scribe the "Food for Fussy Guests" recipe book that dropped into your inventory.

You were granted 3 uses of a portable stove and keg and you can use one charge to create Trout with Pine-Nut Dressing & Fennel Puree. In addition to the 5 nerius trout that you harvested for the quest, and the fennel and pine-nuts, you will need 4 luminous kindling.

Return to Jadrek to complete the quest, and you will be granted coin, Far Seas Supply Division faction, a Far Seas Supply Division token, and tradeskill experience.

Side Salad

(Most of this second quest occurs in the Feerrott, with the start and end occurring with Jadrek in Everfrost.)

The second of the three tastes that you have to please (yes, you need to do it, Jadrek's in too much of a tizzy to be useful, of course!) likes salad. The Feerrott, with the lush jungle foliage, sounds like a good place for a salad, so head there.

Harvest 5 browncap mushrooms while in the Feerrott. (They come from the shrub nodes in the zone.)

Buy vinegar from Merchant Murgina near the spires in the Feerrott Harvest 4 Feerrott Greens that are down along the Greenblood River at /way -223, 5, 269

Provide another 4 luminous kindling, and craft the Feerrott Greens Salad.

Return to Jadrek to complete the quest, and you will be granted coin, Far Seas Supply Division faction, a Far Seas Supply Division token, and tradeskill experience.

Sweet Tooth

(Most of this third quest occurs in Rivervale, with the start and end occurring with Jadrek in Everfrost.)

The third of the three tastes that you need to please has a sweet tooth. What a better place to indulge a sweet-tooth than Rivervale, home of the halflings?

Harvest (or already have in your bags) 5 white peach.

Gather 5 Rivervale Jumberries from around the Fool's Gold in Rivervale.

Craft Peach-Berry Sour Cream Pie. You will need 4 luminous kindling and 2 milk.

Return to Jadrek to complete the quest, and you will be granted coin, Far Seas Supply Division faction, a Far Seas Supply Division token, and tradeskill experience.

Proper Presentation

(Part of this fourth quest occurs in Steamfont Mountains, with the start and end occurring with Jadrek in Everfrost.)

{snooty posh voice} One simply does not present a special meal on just any old dishes. Only specially handcrafted ones will do!

Yeah, demanding much? You've come this far with helping Jadrek that one more task seems like the thing to do if you want any sort of reward from him.

Head to the Steamfont Mountains and find some special quick-curing mud from the Steamfont Wetlands. You will need 3 Steamfont Wetlands Mud (the blue dot on your map should be at /way -744, 77, 1329).

Craft 3 pottery bowl. You will need a total of 15 bonded loam, 3 diamondine cluster, 3 aerated mineral water and 12 luminous coal, as well as a work bench. (There's one in Gnomeland Security along with a fuel vendor that sells coal, if you have everything else already on you at this point.)

Return to Jadrek to complete the quest, and you will meet "Eustace", Magret's new cerberus fur-child! You will find that Jadrek is still totally useless, as he hands over the leash to Eustace and tries to make his getaway before being reminded that HE is going to have to feed Eustace for the duration of his aunt's trip.

You will be granted coin, Far Seas Supply Division faction, a Far Seas Supply Division token, tradeskill experience, the tradeskill familiar Eustace, and the ability to purchase level 40-49 advanced tradeskill books from Jadrek.
