The next expansion for EverQuest 2 will launch before the end of this year, which means it is time for another expansion prelude event. Chunks of broken land have fallen just off the coasts of the Shattered Lands (Thundering Steppes and Nektulos Forest) that seem to have originated from The Overrealm. Head there and check it out!

This content is available for adventurers of all levels of adventuring and crafting alike. It will be available from September 12, 2023 until launch day for the new expansion. (Date TBD, but the event will last over 2 months. The date will be updated when it is announced later in the year.)

While performing quests for the Skywater Sodality faction located in the docks area of Thundering Stepps and Nektulos Forest, you will earn faction that will unlock a number of rewards. After the initial introductory quest which scales to your adventuring level, there will be repeatable adventuring quests and repeatable crafting quests that you can perform. I hope to document the crafting quests later, but you will need chunks of common resources from any tier.

Vendor Offerings

There is a vendor from the Skywatcher Sodality faction on the Thundering Steppes docks at /way -472, -18, 419 and another on the Nektulos docks at /way 770, 2, -151. Both vendors have the same offerings and the items contained upon them require certain amounts of faction to unlock purchase. Faction listings below are the required amount of Skywatcher Sodality faction needed in order to purchase each specific item. Similar to what happened last year, this should continue on into expansion time so that players can continue to purchase the items from an expansion-specific NPC after the expansion launch.
