Beast'r 2025

Spring has sprung, or so they say, and with it comes a small celebration of the season of Growth. This celebration, called Beast'r, begins on all servers other than Anashti Sul on April 17, 2025 at 12:01 a.m. Pacific and ends at 11:59 p.m. on April 23, 2025.

This year's event includes 5 housepet versions of eggs, eight other new buyable house items and an update to an achivement.

A Bit of Background

Since this is an extremely short-duration annual event, you may want to become familiar with it before it begins.

The basic premise of this little event is that there are beast'r eggs hopping around the cities and starter areas in Norrath, and you get to try to hunt them down and grab them. If you manage to grab one, you get an heiroom fluff pet "gem" (scroll) of the egg. There are also "Beast'r Eggschanger" NPCs in Qeynos Province District (Elddar Grove area), Freeport, Darklight Wood, Greater Faydark, Timorous Deep, and Frostfang Sea. Eggs that were introduced in past years return this year and can also be traded in for house pet versions of the eggs.

In addition to the buyable housepets, the Beast'r Eggschangers sell a few other items for small amounts of coin. You will also find a dryad NPC near the Beast'r Eggschanger in Darklight Wood that will grant you the start of small overseer series of quests that will only be available during the event.

New Buyables

These items will be for sale on "Beast'r Eggschanger" NPCs in Qeynos Province District (Elddar Grove area), Freeport, Darklight Wood, Greater Faydark, Timorous Deep, and Frostfang Sea, but there's a catch. three items will only be sold on the "evil" side (Freeport, Darklight Wood, Timorous Deep), and three other items will only be sold on the "good" side (Qeynos, Greater Faydark, Frostfang Sea). This doesn't stop a good aligned person from going to Timorous and buying the corrupted one, or an evil alt from hitting up Frostfang Sea, for example. It just means you'll be doing a little traveling if you want the full set.

New House Item Eggs

The five new fluff pet eggs that first appeared last year, can now be exchanged at a Beast'r Eggschanger for the heirloom housepet version of the eggs.

Continuing Achievement

The "Party Sign! Excellent!" achievement which was added this year has a Beast'r component. Find markable Beast'r Baskets in Beast'r event locations and mark one to update the achievement and get one step closer to the achievement reward of recipes for event-themed borderless glass tiles.

Protip:

While asking a guard for "Beast" works to sometimes chase down the loose eggs, it will have some mixed results. Not only will they point to the nearest loose egg, but if someone has out one of the egg fluff pets or the Mischievous Beastie familiar from the Anchorage quests you will end up pointed to them if they are closer. Asking them for "Eggschanger", however, will help you find the vendor if you're in one of the six above-listed zones.

Quest Tracker

Are you having a hard time keeping track of which alts still need which eggs for the achievements, or who hasn't finished the collections? Casdoe from Maj'Dul has updated her quest tracker for this event once again in both XLS format and in pdf format. Thanks!
