Tradeskill Apprentice Recipes: Tailors

Level 10 and above crafters who own the AoD expansion can obtain a tradeskill apprentice from the Ironforge Exchange building in North Qeynos, or the patio of the Coalition of Tradesfolke building in West Freeport. These apprentices, which can be placed in any home to which you have trustee access, will research recipes based on their owner's crafting class and level.

A few things to note:

  • Apprentices cannot be placed in guildhalls. You can, however, place several (from alts), in the same home.
  • There is no difference in recipes that can be researched by the three different races of apprentices. The apprentices only differ in looks
  • You can change apprentices by bringing the apprentice contract back to where you got him, and hailing one of the other apprentices. Note, however, that you will lose any in-progress research, so make sure to finish off your current recipe's research before you trade apprentices.
  • If you change your mind partway through your apprentice's research as to which recipe you want them to research, you can change recipes BUT you will lose a lot of the time invested in the old research
  • Coaching your apprentice reduces research time by 4 hours
  • Crafting a requested item reduces research time by another 4 hours
  • Both coaching and crafting can be done once a day, more or less, but there is a creative bug - coach first, then hand in the item that needs to be crafted. If you hand in the item first, it confuses the apprentice, and you may not be able to coach again for another day. (Coaching is actually on an 18-hour timer-ish, while crafting resets at 11pm Pacific each night. The crafting quest also resets if you level into a new tier of crafting, but, again, can confuse the apprentice coaching if you craft for them twice in a single day.)
  • Equip level of the items matches the recipe level (10, 20, 30, etc)
  • Weapons are Lore-Equip
