August 01, 2010 - Event Updates

The city festival arrived in Kelethin today and will run through August 7th. There are two new Kelethin-specific furniture items this time around - a lovely display case and a plain floorlamp. If you have not already had your fill of Tinkerfest, you have until tomorrow night to get your questing and cog-harvesting in!

July 21, 2010 - BOOM!

Several days ago, I put up a Tinkerfest 2010 preview, along with a promise that the little story that I try to do with such things would be along later. Then "fun" stuff like my graphics card dying happened. However, I am happily back on my PC once again, and I am happy to bring you a brief tale of what happens when Mum is asked to do a Tinkerfest safety inspection before the event is allowed to have some of the festivities happen in the Baubbleshire.

Tinkerfest will begin on Friday at 12:01 am Pacific, and it looks like it will be explosive fun!

The city festival has returned, this time to Gorowyn. There are two new buyables (floorlamp and display counter) since the last time the festivale was in Gorowyn, but we do not yet have images up for them.

June 28, 2010 - Extra-Special Bonus Weekend Incoming

June 15, 2010 - Prowling for Adornments

... or something like that!

While I still need to do some work on it, at long last there is an adornment reference page up. Hopefully it will help folks figure out which what they need for which adornment for what level gear. {eyes cross} Please let me know in the Transmuting/Adorning forum if you find any errors!

June 08, 2010 - Prowlers, Prowlers, and yes, MORE Prowlers!

Congratulations to forum member Caladwen for the winning guess in the second SC prowler mount giveaway, and to forum member Krystara for having the RNG on her side in the random drawing. Both now have private messages waiting for them with their claim keys.

The winning is not over yet, though! Mum just might have another key or two in her grubby little halfling hands, so it is time for a third, and final, giveaway.

The New Halas City Festival article has been updated with icon images of the local vendor offerings. It has been a very busy year already, and I have not had as much chance to craft as I would like. May 25, 2010 - When is a Ring Not a Ring?

When it is a ruined (druid) ring! Or, um, something like that. Here is a momentary diversion while waiting for GU56 (hopefully in a few hours), an early sneak peek at a Druid Ring Rebuilding World Event that is expected to be released "soon".

UPDATE: The druid ring went live along with the patch this m*rning, so grab your T2 resources and head on up to the NW corner of Nektulos Forest to help rebuild the ring ... if you are not too busy exploring the Frostfang Sea and New Halas at the moment. It is a lot to take in at once, even for me, and I have been poking at this stuff longer than most of you! For those who need a copy of it, since the patcher still did not have the patch notes up when I checked a little while ago, here are the GU56 Patch Notes

Yes, I (now) know something is wrong with the forums. Mind you, I am clueless as to how to fix them, but I am aware that they are ill. Hopefully the hubbyogre can beat them into submission when he gets home, if it is not something serverside that is being reset already.

Meanwhile, this is a good time to remind folks that the Moonlight Enchantments Event starts in a few hours.

May 14, 2010 - Will a Tub Be ok Instead of the Kitchen Sink?

The old phrase "Everything but the kitchen sink" comes to mind when trying to corral all the information regarding GU56 that will interest crafters or decorators. While not quite the kitchen sink, there are oodles of goodies for folks, including a very nice tub!

First came the New Halas Housing Preview, which was soon followed by the New Halas Starter Home Tour (which even later had housing price information added to it). After that, I gave you a taste of GU56 Travel Changes. While folks were looking that over, I was also putting together a sneak peek at house items from the Epic Icy Keep instance. Not content to let it end there, I have cobbled together a list of Buyable New Halas Furniture, along with promises that I will tweak the images a bit after I get caught up some more.

The fun does not end there, however, as I am currently freezing my bare feet off out in Frostfang Sea, running through all the new quests once again in order to get you details on New Halas House Items from Adventuring. I will be adding to that article later today, and likely through the weekend.

None of the above counts as the main GU56 Crafting and Housing Preview, however, but are just bits and pieces that spun off as that main preview grew out of control.

May 12, 2010 - Busy, Busy!

I know, I know, I promised some more GU56 goodness before this. Not only have I been feeling under the weather, but there is enough to write about that I am having to work on it in chunks. To keep the masses happily chewing on new information, here is the (rough) first draft of the travel change information that is coming with GU56. Please ignore the link at the top of that article for the master preview - it is not even close to finished yet, and I have a chiropractor visit and other fun things to get through before I can go back and finish it.

In other diverting news, make sure to log into the game before the end of May 14th for your free in-game item!

Finally, today is International Fibromyalgia Awareness Day. Since I have suffered for over two decades from this painful, and frustratingly poorly-understood chronic illness, I am doing my part to raise awareness today. Why don't you click on the link above, and become aware?

The tour of New Halas and a 3-room home that Niami wrote about last night has now been joined by a photo shoot from Kaisha of a New Halas starter home. I think you'll be pleasantly amazed at how fancy, and how much space there is, even in the starter ("1 room") homes!

May 01, 2010 - Freeport City Festival

It is once again time for the monthly city festival! This month, the traveling faire is outside of Freeport. If you are a native of the area, head from Freeport out to the Crossroads and hang a right. For those flying in from further away, head due east from the wizzie spires, and you'll find the festival set up outside of the crossroads, just out of reach of the crossroads guards.
