Bristlebane Day 2021

Calling all fools, jesters, pranksters and lovers of mischief and merriment! The annual Bristlebane Day celebrations will begin on March 26, 2021 at 12:01 AM PAC time and end on April 9, 2021 at 11:59 PM PAC time on all servers*, with a few extra-special events available only on April 1 and April 2. (*Kaladim will receive the entire event this year.) Note that the end date has been extended by a day due to unplanned but needed Daybreak-wide maintenance on April 8.

In addition to all the returning content from past years, there will be one new recipe book, 11 new buyables, a new 5-quest overseer series, and one new quest on April 1-2. Patchcraft critters have also been added to Savage Weald and Shadeweaver's Thicket.

New Crafted

"Perfectly Serious Items to Craft XII" joins us this year as our newest Bristlebane Day recipe book. As with the other recipe books for this event, it requires level 2 artisan to scribe, special Bristlebane event harvestables and tier 1 and tier 2 common harvestables. The special Bristlebane harvests come from Jester's gardens, which spawn in Commonlands, Antonica, Greater Faydark, Darklight Wood, Timorous Deep, and Frostfang Sea. The book is heirloom, costs 60s and 90c and contains recipes for the following items within it (pristine combines yield 2):

Bazzul Palm
Bliss In Baubbleshire
Foolish Bandana
Frivolous Fun Square Rug
Frontier Gaming Table
Gold Firepot
Gold Torch
Gold Wall Torch
Gold War Forge
Grilled Kebabs
Jokester's Whirlygig Cap
Mound of Fresh Apples
Red Diamonds Rug
Thicket Breeze Rug
Toxxul Flytrap

New Buyables

You will find "a Bristlebane Day merchant" in every home crafting society area, selling both new and returning items, including the brand-new "Perfectly Serious Items to Craft XII". Many of these items will require the event-specific currency, Fool's Gold coins, but a few will be sold for cash.

In addition to the recipe book mentioned above, the 11 new buyable items on this merchant are:

Beloved Baby Bovoch (fluff pet)
20 coins
Farmer's Hay Bales
5 coins
Gold Metal Square
1g 20s
Jocular Patchcraft Zelniak Plushie
20 coins
Merrymaker's Clownfish (heirloom)
5 coins
Party Cards*
10 coins
Petamorph Wand: Ruby Imp
6 coins
Vulrich Plushie
20 coins
Ancient Painting of the Prankster
5 coins
Jocular Bristlebane Plate*
45 coins
Jovial Bristlebane Plate*
45 coins

* Party Cards cannot be resized, and have a continual effect of falling confetti and streamers for a small area around them when placed.

**The plate armor crates are heirloom, the pieces themselves are no-trade, so make sure you unpack the crates on the proper alt!!!!

New Overseer Event

A five-quest overseer series has been added this year. As with other live event overseer quests, you must pick up the first quest in the series from the quest NPC, and then complete the series at your own pace. Once you are finished the series, if the event is still running, you may pick up the starter quest again. Rinse and repeat until the event is over.

The questgiver, for members and any others who have access to the overseer quests will be "a Silly Billy Talent Scout" in Qeynos Harbor and in Freeport. Guards in those areas should be able to point you to these masked rogues.

I will give you more details later, but the eye-candy rewards from this series are as follows:

Petamorph Wand: Crimson Jokester
"Heist Societies: Send in the Clowns
Wacky-Patch Baby Dragon Clothwork
(heirloom housepet)
"Heist Societies: Swipe the Swap"
Replica: King of Thieves
"Heist Societies: King of Thieves"

You will also receive the new "Harly Slapstick" agent with a "Frivolity" trait, and a new prefix title: "Sticky Fingers"

April 1 Hijinks

April 1 is considered the high feast day, or "Highest of Silly Days" during the Bristlebane celebrations. Because of this there are special quests that are available only on April 1-2, 2021. (Normally this is a single-day special mini-event, but due to maintenance on April 1, they are extending this Highest of Silly Days to a second day.)

New April 1 Quest

The quest "Riddle Mei-Theiz" will be offered by Mei-Theiz near the docks in the Enchanted Lands only on April 1. Reward will be your choice of 10 Fool's Gold Coin or a Rhei Sphinx Plushie. (As an interesting bit of trivia, "rhei" is the term used for a female sphinx.)

Rhei Sphinx Plushie

New April 1 Quest Rewards

The "Riddled Throughout the Lands" April 1 quest series from Imenand in the Enchanted Lands has 3 new heirloom housepet reward choices this year.

Cobalt Stone of Gygax
"Riddled Throughout the Land"
Rose Stone of Chance
"Riddled Again"
Ruby Stone of Arneson
"Riddled Yet Again"

New Old Vendor Appears!

Heartgar MacInnes, the Erollisi Day love loot trader reappears on April 1 in Qeynos Harbor so you can trade your miscellaneous love notes and hard candies into barbarian love notes.

New April 1 Rabbit Locations

The Rabbit Nabber series of achievements will have all the past locations for grabbing those rabbits, plus two new zones - Savage Weald and Shadeweavers Thicket.
