Accendo made his first public post today: Greetings, everyone! I’m Accendo, and I’m honored to be your new Community Manager for EverQuest II (and EverQuest). Nothing beats video gaming as one of the best forms of entertainment on the planet, and I’m so stoked to be able to represent you to our company and team, and to represent the tireless developers, designers, engineers, artists, and production staff who spend so much time and passion making this game for you. I’m pretty much the freshest face around here and I’m still getting the lay of the land, but I’m learning so much more every single day. Bear with me, but I am here to try and carry the same torch dreamweaver carried for you so well. Please, feel free to chime in, share some tips, and ask me questions. A lot of you know that I have had a lot of health challenges, including bouts with two different types of cancer. I decided that I had too many scars on my body that had negative connotations due to all that, and a friend had created an utterly lovely pic of the EQ2 version of Niami. Things finally settled down enough on the pandemic front, that I bit the bullet and got my first (and only) tattoo. The ribbons being hit with the Rolling Pin of Doom (RPoD) are the awareness ribbons for thyroid cancer and endometrial cancer. It is still healing, and is itchy, but I present to you Mum as envisioned by my friend LG and brought to life by Micah of American Tattoo in Vista, CA!

This is from the patch notes for the hotfix that went in this morning: Red tradeskill collection pieces are no longer LORE flagged. Those that were no-trade are still no-trade, but all red shinies should now no longer have the LORE tag attached to them.This is an especially happy thing for those of us who have alt-armies still needing collection parts.

This tweet just came through from @Kaitheel: Moonlight Enchantments is being extended for April due to unavoidable downtime tomorrow, 4/20. You'll have through 4/23/21 to make root beer, buy items from the traders (34 of which are new), and find new collectibles!Yes, you read that right. The event will run from when the servers come up after the downtime on the 20th until the end of the 23rd for your root beer binging, and you will REALLY want to binge so you can check out the 34(!!!) new items. You will also want to run all your alts through so you can get a better chance at getting the new collectibles.

The following downtime has been announced: On 4/20 at 12 AM PDT we will be starting a 24 hour maintenance period on some of our internal systems. We have a large migration maintenance of our backend which will impact all game services. During this timeframe all servers will be shut down until the work is concluded. This maintenance is affecting all Daybreak titles. We'd like to thank you in advance for your patience.This means that for for the entirety of April 20 (Pacific time), all Daybreak games will be down due to work on the systems that run them. There are no game patches involved. While this is regrettable, some things just cannot be done while the games are running.

All worlds will be offline tomorrow (April 8) for Daybreak-wide, necessary, but unplanned network maintenance beginning at 5:30 AM PT (GMT -7). Downtime is expected to last until around 12PM PT (GMT -7) or about 6 1/2 hours.And, due to that maintenance, Bristlebane Day has now been extended in-game. It'll be deactivated on 4/9 at 11:59 PM.

Due to an April 1 hotfix, the "Highest of Silly Days" (April 1) portion of the Bristlebane Day will run from April 1 at 12:01 a.m. Pacific to 11:59 p.m. Pacific on April 2. The schedule for the rest of the event is unchanged.
