February 01, 2026 - Foiled Again!

Yes, I was planning on making and posting a couple videos before this (Erollisi Day is right around the corner!), and possibly even a Twitch stream, but my body had other ideas. I am recovering now from completely filling my entire medical bingo card for the year within the first month, and hope to have at least the E-Day video done before the event.

In the meantime, we got some professional help to fix all the sudden coding issues with the EQ and the EQ2 sites, and I can finally edit articles again! I can do more than front page updates! I'll start working on articles "Soon"(TM), health willing.

January 09, 2026 - About the Site and About Me

First, yep, there are parts of the site still broken, such as editing existing articles. The hubbyogre took some solid pokes at it when he finally had a moment after his own expansion and he can't get it working. He is looking into some professional help for fixing the errors on both sites. We also may have a workaround for me, so I can edit articles once again.

I should also have more time/energy to work on the site again, once I get a bit more downtime to rest and recover because I am Hanging Up My Rolling Pin over at Daybreak. It was a difficult decision to make, but it is the right choice for my health and quality of life. With time, it should mean the site is more caught up again, but first up will be me faceplanting for a bit.

October 23, 2025 - Sorry

I am sorry for the long radio silence. While the sites are up, I know not everything is behaving as it should. In a perfect world, Ngreth would have been able to get everything fixed and behaving pretty quickly, and I would be back to posting event previews and more on the EQ2 side of things. The world is far from perfect, and 2025 keeps kicking us while we are down. There has been lots of real-life chaos going on, starting with having to had move my (hopefully) final surgery to deal with some post-cancer complications forward three months - making me in recovery at the start of expansion beta. Family injuries and illnesses, an ill computer, death in the family, and much more are also in the mix for our families, and we are just running on fumes. The sites are important to us, but we just have nothing more in our energy tanks right now.

I am recovering from the surgery, and will be back to work in about a week and a half, but my energy levels will be at a new low due to everything. With that in mind, I will NOT be doing a 24-hour gaming marathon for Extra Life day on November 8. I will be streaming a bit on Friday, Saturday and Sunday of that weekend, plus doing some small Twitch stream before then to make sure I got all my streaming settings correct on the new PC. I will not push hard, though, as there would be unhappy irony in stressing my own health while trying to raise money for sick kids.

Every year I see one or more people trolling on the forums, trying to turn the perspective on the Extra Life charity into some sinister scam. It isn't. Extra Life is a gamer-led fundraising arm of the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals (CMNH). It is a valid charity and can be claimed as a charitable donation on U.S. income taxes. Many employers have a matching gifts program for it as well. None of the money goes to those doing the fundraising. Instead it is funneled to designated CMNH. In my case, it is earmarked for Radys Children's Hospital in LaJolla, CA. I have been raising funds for them via this charity for years, and hope to continue to support it in every way that my health will allow for many years to come. ~Mum
