Mum takes a quick look at some of the ones of interest to tradeskillers with a GU38 Preview, complete with screenshots of new harvestable icons, crafted Bristlebane altars, and the new appearances tab feature. In a lucky coincidence, our goddess of things graphical, Keisha, has redone the Crafted Dress Clothes gallery just in time for the appearances feature with new and improved images that include all the cross-gender shading differences in the sets. As with all such status items, they will require faction (via crafting writs) in order to purchase. Random EQ and EQ2 accounts that have been active in the last month were added to beta access. Try out the /tcg command to see if you've been added. Want to strip off your armor when you are wandering about town, but have no clue what to wear? Why not check out the EQ2TC Fashion Gallery for some ideas? Keisha and Mum have been busy, and you will find several new offerings that were added in just today. Not only is there a brand new page with screenshots of some of the city faction merchant clothing, but T7 rare tailored cloth and leather sets, plus two more of the Deathfist Citadel sets have been added. Edit (Because you know it is an unwritten rule that Mum will find something new to add to one of these front page updates mere minutes after posting an update!) Some of these changes will be for a bit more in-tier consistency, so mixing and matching sets will look a bit better. Other changes will be so that the metal names and colors have a bit more in common with each other. (Bronze armor will look bronze, for example!) EQ2Traders Corner is proud to announce the sneak preview of the crafted plate and crafted chain armor set appearances, which are expected to go live with Game Update 38. Many thanks to Domino, Lotus, et al., for making these images available well in advance of GU38. (At this time, GU38 is not yet on the Test server, and I have no ETA on this going live.) In other news, the hotfix in the morning (Tuesday, August 14) should include the rare harvesting changes already announced. Addendum - details on the Tuesday downtime: Update: Scheduled Downtime: Tuesday, August 14th, 4:00 AM PDT The scheduled maintenance for Tuesday, August 14th, has been expanded to include all international servers and will include an update to the SOE sessions servers. As such, the maintenance period will last for approximately eight hours, beginning at approximately 4:00 AM PDT and ending at approximately 12:00 PM PDT. With the maintenance now involving the session servers, all services requiring a login will be unavailable during the maintenance period. This includes (but is not limited to) the game servers, all forums, Station Exchange, Character Transfers, Customer Service, the SOE Store, and the subscription tools. This maintenance period will also include the EQII international servers in the same period of time. Thank you for your understanding and patience during this extended maintenance period. EQ2Players.com will be updated with any additional updates should new information become available.
Created By: Niami Denmother Last Modified on: 2007-08-13 09:11:12 August 09, 2007 - Two Day Refresh on Broker for Some Servers Due to some unanticipated problems with the new code causing lag, some servers will require that you log in once every two days (instead of once every seven) to keep items active on the broker. Grimwell explains more in this thread on the SOE forums: In order to better combat some lag that joined us in the last update, the reset timer for the broker on the servers listed below is being changed from seven days to two. In plain English, you will need to log in at least once every other day to keep your items active on the broker. The changes to the broker have introduced some unanticipated lag and we are taking this temporary measure to keep things responsive while we work out a solution internally. I'll make another post to let you know when we put the timer back on seven days, or make further adjustments. Here is the listing of servers that now have a two day refresh:
